Posted October 02, 2019 04:28:40The Ecotours Tourism Jobs Census is expected to be released on October 6, 2019, according to a new survey released by the Tourism Industry Association of Maui.
The report, which was published in September, states that the industry has grown by nearly 300,000 jobs over the last year and a half, which is good news for tourism in Maui, which has seen an uptick in tourist traffic during the economic downturn.
“We’ve got an amazing tourism economy and we’re all very happy to see that,” said TIAA Maui President and CEO James P. D’Amato.
“This survey is really a reflection of the people that are working hard to make this economy thrive.
We have a tremendous amount of people in this industry that are very dedicated to our mission.”
The survey shows that the Maui tourism industry has expanded by an average of 300,600 jobs per year since 2012.
The survey also showed that Maui’s unemployment rate has fallen to 3.4 percent, which Pascua-Nauvoo’s unemployment figure is currently at 8.9 percent.
Maui has seen a dramatic increase in tourism demand since the economic crisis, according Pascu-Nacua Tourism Association Executive Director Chris Foy.
In addition to a growing tourism industry, Maui also has a strong economy of its own.
“Tourism has been the main driver of economic growth and employment growth in Mauidians,” Foy said.
“With more than 10 million visitors visiting Maui each year, it’s no surprise that Mauidian tourism has grown in the last two decades.”
The report also revealed that Mauiland is experiencing a strong economic recovery and is looking forward to a more stable economy.
“Our economy is doing well,” D’Amena said.
“[The tourism industry] is a very important part of that.”
The Maui Tourism Jobs Survey is the third and final round of the Ecto-Tours Maui Jobs Census, which the MauI Tourism Industry has been working on since 2012 to track tourism and employment.
It was designed to provide information to industry stakeholders and other stakeholders on how well the industry is performing and how it can continue to grow.
“I’ve been in the Mauiland Tourism Industry for almost five years now and the job description is just as important to me as any other,” Dicatato said.
“There are so many jobs that are being created and they are just a part of the Mauidiland economy.
The industry has done an incredible job of creating jobs.”
