The world is not a paradise for ecotouring, but Australia is ranking very highly for tourism destinations according to travel website Ecotourist.
Australia’s #3 spot on the Ecotours Destination Ranking (EDR) is thanks to its low-cost, eco-friendly lifestyle, and it is also due to its “dynamic” and “open” nature, according to Ecotouringist.
“Australians love being outdoors, so ecotrading is a natural fit for Australia,” says Ecotouredist CEO Michael Capper.
“We believe Australia is a perfect destination for ecopreneurs and it can be easily found with the right trip ideas, affordable and eco-friendliness.”
The EDR is a global benchmark that ranks the most popular destinations based on how well they cater to travellers’ needs.
It is based on four criteria: price, location, experience and accessibility.
